温泉津は島根県の丁度真ん中、海に面した小さな港町です。温泉津と書いて“ユノツ“と読みます。聞いたこともない町なのにどこか懐かしい、地元に帰ってきたような気持ちになる町の、古民家ゲストハウス「湯るり」「WATOWA」「燈」「HÏSOM」で暮らすように滞在ができます。
小さな町の小さな温泉街だからこそ、行きかう人はほとんどが顔なじみで、1日に何度も会える。向かう先も同じだったり。。。昔から港町で各地の人を受け入れていた温泉津の人達はおしゃべりが大好きで、交友的。温泉では、旅人の背中をたわしで洗ってくれるおばあちゃんがいるそう。
コンパクトな街には、旅するキッチン、温泉、旅館、酒蔵、スナック、キャンプ場、サウナ、ギャラリー、喫茶店、Bar、食堂、スパイスカレーと野草茶屋さん、地ビールとハンバーガーショップがあり、古民家が歴史を超えて新しいお店に形を変え、活躍しています。
毎週土曜には夜神楽公演があり、日中は、やきもの体験、マリンスポーツや釣りまで楽しめます。 今、面白い若者の移住が増え、古いものたちを新しい形で生かしす取り組みが盛んです。世界遺産石見銀山の景観を愛し、昔ながらの歴史や文化を守る姿がある温泉津に是非遊びに来てください。

Hot springs and little port town YUNOTSU is the world heritage.

Yunotsu is a little port town that is facing the ocean and it located in the middle of Shimane prefecture.

“history”

It is between 700 years ago to 400 years ago, we had lots of high quality silver from this area. In golden period, people were using one third of silver from Iwami prefecture in the world.
At that time, Yunotsu was used for port of loading from Omori silver mine. And Yunotsu onsen was loved by tired people who work in silver mine, sailor, or resistant around here and more.
They took onsen and recover them body. Yunotsu area and Omori area are world heritage because these were kept view as it was back then. .

“Stay”

You will stay Japanese old style house「WATOWA」「Tomoru」「HÏSOM」「Yururi」in nostalgic old village.
We have restaurant, onsen, sake brewery, local brewery, sauna, camp site, gallery, café, bar in Yunotsu. Thus, these shops use Japanese old style house that was empty and can to be born again to something new things. “Yunotsu culture experience” At every Saturday night, you can watch Kagura at shrine.Kagura is a regional specific dance for Japanese gods. I really recommend it.
Other than that, pottery experience at pottery. We have three good pottery in Yunotsu.You Can buy your favorite or you can make your own at pottery.

“nature”

We have nice beach and healthy mountains. We get fresh food from there and you can have these seasonal foods at local restaurant. for example, sake, seafood, vegetables and rise and more.
